Are there any specific laws limiting the amount of ammo and where and how you store it at a private residence?  thanks again for your info....

I have never heard of any.  That doesn't mean that there aren't some.

I live in Plano and there is a city ordinance about the amount of blackpowder, pyrodex, and
gunpowder that you may have stored at your residence. I think the maximum amount is one pound of each.

The ordinance is to supposedly protect firemen
who may come to your house to put out a fire, etc.

I've never heard it being enforced.

But that's the only law I know re: ammo storage in Texas.
