Was the Abu Gharib problem that bad that it required Rumsfeld to travel to Iraq?
Couldn't he just have had a subordinate Officer handle it?
While on his visit to Abu Gharib he stated that they were going to transfer all the prisoners out and open up a new facility----named Camp Redemption.
Oh how fitting isn't that sweet
But wait don't forget the "Abused Detainees" deserve compensation according to Rumsfeld.
How's he gonna figure out a dollar amount for their suffering,or is he just gonna give each one of them a Goat or something.
"It is the right thing to do " "And so we will one way or another" declared Rumsfeld to the Senate.

( Yet our Gov't says that the Amercan POW's that were tortured and brutalized during Gulf War 1 deserve no compensation)
Maybe Rumsfeld will invite them to stay at Camp Redemption.

Keep it up Rummy placate the Iraqis some more why don't ya !

Rummy's visit to Iraq was purely a political firefighting exercise.  It's just an attempt to shut the trap of the whining liberals in DC.

I can think of a few other ways to shut their trap but then people would call me a meany....
