Bushmaster in the Philippines

Just got back from my mini vacation in the Philippines and I notice that most of the Phil. military are carrying brand new Bushmaster complete with all gizmo. I personally talked to some of them and they really loved their Bushmaster. The finish and fitting are really tight and was told that they where from and provided by the US gov., so I guess Bushmaster do have US military contract for use in other countries.

That's interesting. Do they still call them "Armalites?" Every time I get a relative visit from over sees they are amazed by my collection of "Armalites." All my AR's are "Bushys."

My ex-in-laws are Phlippino and call every AR-15/16 an Armalite. Wonder if they'll start calling them Bushmaster now.

I'm US Citizen/Full Blooded Filipino. Went home to visit my ill Father
and yes, they still call every AR "Armalite or M16", that might change now to "Bushie".
MP5 as finger cutter, don't know why. Got to play with my brother's full-auto Elisco M16. Got some Pics of Elisco but don't know how to post it here.
