Good job, as usual Lumpy.

I wish we had a picture of when that Pale in the third picture lights one off and pokes his stupid eye out with the scope.

Romanian FPK.  The stock, curved rear of receiver & the riveted reinforcing plate give it away, not to mention the magazine being right in front of the trigger guard.  The SVD mag has a space between it & the triggerguard.

A common problem around here.....
The FPK or Romak3 (neutered civilian version-no bayonet lug, muzzle brake instead of flash hider, etc) is basically a stretched AK in 7.62x54R.  Gas piston attatched to bolt carrier as opposed to the SVD separate gas piston & tappet.  Not quite as accurate as the SVD because of the heavy bolt carrier group banging & clanging about.

That blue sling is just fabulous!  What is it with 3rd world shitheads & funky colored tape?  The pix that came from Liberia showed knuckleheads who had their AK mags taped together with bright yellow tape.

It looks like the Israelis use the fabric bags to avoid having their helmets used as a range finder for snipers and general camouflage.

Edit: mil dot and other reticles range find by using objects of known dimensions.

The covers do, indeed, break up the silhouette of a helmet, and work pretty well their guys say during urban ops. The Israelis have a few other little tricks that work well for this stuff as well...lots of experience.

Styer AUG's.  Not very purtty cermony rifles IMHO.  I like either the M1903 or M14's.  I use the M1903's on my high school's AFJROTC's Drill Team so I like those the best hehehe.
