Just got my 900rd can from Wholesale guns & ammo. There is no green tip.  I pulled the bullet with a Midway impacted puller. It has a lead base to it. It has RG 87 and a circle with a cross head stamp. The bullet weighs 62.5gr

some of the 109 did not have green tips.....I have a case with no green tips......pull a bullet and cut it open or use a magnet to check.

None of the British stuff has a green tip, as the Brits never used the 55gr. stuff.  Therefore, there is no need for a green tip to distinguish it.  If the ammo is around 62 gr. (the brits aren't know for their quality control), and it is boat tailed, the stuff MAY be real.  If a magnet will not attract it that is troublesome, but the real SS109 only has less than 20% steel content.

I thought only US made ss109 had the green tip.  What kind of packaging did the ammo come in?

I think I paid to much for this stuff. 900rd on stripper clips in bandoleers in 50 cal ammo can. $200 + $13.04 shipping.

what kind of material are the bandolers made of?  Is it a rubberized material?

I just saw the same thing at a gun show.  They were in dark green bandoliers and on stripper clips.  900 to an ammo can.  It was $229 at the gun show plus 6% tax.  Your price is not too bad.  Put a magnet to it like the other guys said.  It should be attracted to it.  If not you got screwed. I bought some santa barbara stuff from them and they were great to shoot. Very accurate and attracted by the magnet.

The RG is for RADWAY GREEN, and the year.  The circle with the cross is the NATO acceptance stamp.  I think you did ok.

I don't know, the IMI is usually $299/1200 without strippers, bandoleers, or ammo can. The IMI might be better, but I don't think you did too bad.

The only thing I heard is there have been bad lots of the Radway 223. Let us know how it works out.

I can not get my Bushmaster from my FFL. I order it last Thursday and Ups tried to deliver it but the tracking number said business was closed. They tried to deliver it today and they said receiver was not there. I tried calling him but nobody answers the phone.

I bough the same ammo and it is not cycling my AR. I dont know why but that is the first ammo to give me a problem. I am going to use the rest in my bolt gun. I know it is not the gun or mags cause it is only that ammo to give me malfunctions. Winchester 55's, work well,Black hills work well, south african work well,PMC 55's work well. Just the Brit messed up.

The Brit is loaded lighter to function in that weird bullpup they use.Won't cycle in a lot of ARs
