Has anyone else seen the tv commercials that try to get you to get your own ATM or public internet access points? What's the deal?

The 'deal' is it's another GRQ scam...

You have to pay the company that provides the machine a regular fee, plus you generally have to pay the store owner for the space to put it in.

You maintain the thing, fill & empty it (CCW, anyone?), and get a small cut of the fees in return...

Unless you hit pay-dirt as to a 'perfect' location that for some reason no major bank has put an ATM in, you will be SOL.

As for public access internet terminals, that's a real waste. Public libraries provide the same service for free, plus you're competing with Kinkos & similar.

Unless you can get it in an airport (or major train station, if you live in a mass-transit infested area), you'll loose money...

Cool, thanks for the post. I figured it was some sort of scam when they have people like Adam West doing the commercials...
