SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) Officers shot and killed a suspected kidnapper Tuesday after catching him trying to leave an apartment complex with the victim, police said.
Three officers responding to a kidnapping call at the Bishop Manor apartment complex heard at least one shot, police Sgt. Carlos Rojas said.
When the officers entered the complex, they saw a man in his mid-20s with the alleged victim, another adult male, Rojas said.
``Obviously a threat was involved,'' he said.
No further details were provided on the shooting.
The identity of the suspect was not immediately released. Police believe he knew the victim, but Rojas had no details on the relationship.
Officers found two semiautomatic handguns at the scene belonging to the suspect, he added.
Lots of details missing in this one. It was either a love triangle, drug burn, or gang related.
