As I said Mac, no I wasn't updating it. It was a stupid site that I hadn't visited in at least two years. I admit that I hated Republicans...I was completely blinded by my hatred and I walked around saying that all Republicans were Nazis. I've told many people that I came to this site to get over my hatred. I wanted to understand other viewpoints, and I've learned a lot since coming here. Seeing as how I have thrown away that mentality, there was no reason to keep the site up. I don't hate you. But I hate the way I used to be. I've already apologized for it. But yes, I do hate Bush and I am voting for Kerry. I've never kept that a secret from anyone on this site.

And in that regard, all he has done is try to enforce existing law, by going after clinics performing high numbers of third trimester abortions, while claiming that the life of the mother is at stake, when in reality, they just use that statement to make the late term abortion fall within the letter of the law.

Until the SCOTUS overturns Roe v. Wade, there's not much a President can do... except nominate people to the SCOTUS who WILL overturn Roe v. Wade.

The point I was trying to make is that Liberals think Bush will stop all abortion if re-elected.
The reality of the situation is, he hasn't tried to steer the abortion discussion in any particular direction, very hard.
So it shouldn't be terrribly hard to hold your nose and vote for him, if that is your main issue.

No, this doesn't belong in the Bear Pit.  People are just trying to figure out how she can be so anti-Bush, anti-republican, and fooled into thinking Kerry is a good vote.  

For anyone to compare Bush or anyone to Hitler is totally irresponsible and naive.  For someone to say that, it just shows how they know very little about Hitler, and are more driven by hate than real rational discussion or logic.  If anyone comes close to the type of governmental representative of 1933 - 45 Germany has, it's Kerry.  I wouldn't, however, say he was Hilter just because I can't stand him and liberals in general.

Hate is a very strong word.   You are young and confused.  Three topics I try not to talk about with strangers are sex, religion and politics.  I don't feel you've been around long enough to really know about those things and be able to hate the way you say you do.

I was in Wash DC during the May Day demonstrations in 1970 as a cop working undercover to make sure someone didn't try to blow up any buildings.  We had the Vietnam Veterans Against the War people, Black Panthers, Women’s lib Movement, Democratic Underground, etc.....

I talked to a lot of them to get intel.  Most of those young people, and I was young then also, were confused but thought they new how to solve the worlds problems.  Well they didn't, we didn't and I didn't.  I bought a T-shirt for my son when he was 17-18 years old.  It read; “Hire a Teenager while the Still Know Everything.”

Just read the entire thread, the two questions asked at the top.

Read all of the replies from the person directly mentioned in regards to the two questions, and note that of the replies, zero explained or answered the questions.  She also hasn't responded to me.

I am sorry, but I like to hang out with people who when I meet them face to face (and I do, often), are pretty much the same as I "know" them from the board.

Now, when you have somebody that "flip-flops", and won't give a rational explanation (well, even an irrational one would do at this point), I guess I would rather hang out with people I can trust, which comprises MANY members here (yes, even you).

It seems NYPatriot and The_Macallan are the only two trying to keep the topic back to simply answering the first two questions posed.  The rest of the chatter is about why, and the diversions.  

Diversions.  Typical tactic of a female/liberal/democrat (they are all pretty much the same, throw logic out the window and think what is good for ME, NOW).  When confronted with a question you do not want to answer, respond with an answer that is unrelated, but will cause an argument among the accusers.  (e.g. "I will vote for Kerry", that does not answer either question, but it did manage to SUCCESSFULLY hijack the thread).

CB has some good points here and there, and it saddens me, truely, to see this "situation", beleive me when I say I do not want to see things "torn apart", I would however, Very Much like her to answer the questions, as honestly and with as much rational thought possible.

Right before replying to this, I noticed CB posted the "I will vote for Kerry because he is the lesser of two evils".

Kerry becomes president, my predictions (which probably aren't far from reality):  Guns banned as soon as he can, all troops pulled from unfinished wars,  America will appear cowardice, terrorists will see the sudden "abandon ship" from the wars as weakness, and they will exploit that weakness.  We will then be attacked again (we very well may be attacked again anyway), but if we are while Kerry is president, he would say "This wouldn't have happened if Bush didn't invade Iraq".   Kerry has a Very Good track record of kissing and passing the buck to make sure his own ass is covered.  Since he only cares about his own ass, how the hell could he be the "lesser of two evils"????   He is a documented liar, so was Clinton (remember that president that had many chances at OBL?).

This is a simple matter of "who you are".  It suddenly seems there are multiple identities/personalities behind the name, I would like to see which one is the "real one".  I do hope when I ask for the "real you", that there is only one that responds.  There seem to be a glimmer of hope in one of them, perhaps I was fooled, or had a speck on my monitor.

That's why I came here...to get over the immense hatred I had. I've never been exposed to conservative viewpoints and never really cared to understand them. When I got to college, I noticed all the Liberal students doing stupid protest marches at school and realized how worthless it was. They were so consumed by hatred that they had no clue about anything. I didn't want to be like that anymore. I came to arfcom to try and understand Republican points of view. That's all. I'm not a troll, as I've never started an anti-Bush thread, and I very rarely say anything against Bush on this site. I know it's not the place for it.
