Sure I would, I know several and they are really down to earth. You would be surprized by how normal they are, plus it's only a job and some have told me that atleast it's better than working somewhere like Wal-Mart. I had a good laugh and had to agree. Thanks Arvin

I've been around a couple of dancers. Well maybe more than a couple
 I've dated two. If you could call it dating. All I can say is that I couln't stand to be around them for more than a few hours at a time. Rocking bodies and alot of fun for awhile but dumb as a lump of shit. Both had kids and I'm pretty sure a drug habit as well. I know this isn't the situation for all dancers but I'd pass. Now I have a very good friend one of four that I actually give a shit about, that is dating a dancer. He's been seeing her for almost two years. She is a little different, she has some medical bills for an illness that has required a few operations and is on several very expensive prescriptions. She is very smart, kind, funny, has a great personality, has never complained about her situation and always has a positive outlook on life. Oh, and she is gorgeous! He would marry her, but she won't do it. She thinks it will be harder on him if she dies. |

I'd have to disagree with Arvin. As a group, I'd say they are some of the most confused and unhappy people I've met. We all have different perspectives but if you're taking votes, lets drop marry and ask would I even consider trying to date an exotic dancer, even once.... NOT A CHANCE.

I lived in NYC with a young lady who was a professional ballet dancer. In the off season, she supported herself as a cage dancer at several clubs. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from a prestigious university with degrees in both Psychology and Dance. Unfortunately, neither paid the bills. Far as I'm concerned, it was just another job that paid the rent.

There's two kinds of strippers, ones who are whores, and ones who aren't whores yet. They get sucked into that stripper lifestyle, and any morals and values they may have once had go out the window. They see guys as nothing but ATM machines that require a bump and grind instead of a PIN number. Strippers, while often some of the hottest women on earth, and generally some of the most pathetic. Not to mention, they typically think that their customers are the most pathetic type of men. If you think she's smiling at you because she thinks you're different than all the other losers that come in, think again. |

i've gone out with three "dancers" in my life. all three were very smart and two have their heads on straight.
the messed up one came from a wealthy faimly and private schools. she was ok until she started doing x. she ended up marrying a mexican. one came from a single mom faimly who went to private catholic schools until he mom married a professor of dentisty at a notable eastern university. after me she married a bass player in a band that has two grammies. the third one came from a dirt poor southern faimly, has a little boy, owns her own house and has $25,000 in stocks and mutual funds i keep track of for her. the two woman who have their heads on straight stayed away from drugs and both were "real dancers" and not just strippers. |

Does wet t-shirt contests and hot legs contest count? If so yes I did, now she would not strip. One of her girlfriends dared her to enter a wet tshirt contest once. This was after we were married. She did it and won. That same night at the same club they had the hot legs contest, she enters that one and wins. She must have gotten it out of her system because she never has done it again.

ETH, while the book is fiction, The Davinci Code is based on a segment of belief within certain theological circles regarding the theory of the Holy bloodline. Discovery Civilization had an extensive documentary on it a couple months ago and there were numerous scholars debating the theory. IIRC, ABD had a show on the same topic. Again, numerous scholars debated it.
The conclusion that both documentaries came to was that there's not enough evidence to either prove or disprove it either way. I didn't just make it up. Really. |

You really, really need to do some of your own research on this topic! There are NO Biblical scholars, at all, that buy any part of the so-called 'DaVinci Code'! I have seen and read just about everything I can about such nonsense, and it is truly nonsense! One of the grand pillars upon which the entire fiction rests, is that Early Christianity was unable to handle the thought that Mary Magdalene had a position of importance in the Church! Why? Because NO WOMAN could, at that time, have been permitted such an exalted place in the Church! What a crock! All one has to do to refute so feeble a notion is to simply consider the HIGH HOMAGE and POSITION that the Roman Church assigned to Mary, the Mother of Jesus! What? Sure. Dated 2 in my lifetime. I would married at one of them. Pornstar, stripper. They are all just jobs. Some enjoy more than others. Some are pushed into it. Muck like having a regular job. Some us like/love our jobs and look forward to going to it daily. Some hate it. Some go postal and shoot everyone they work with. We all sell pieces of ourselves to make money. Some of us go to school to gain knowledge and sell that. Some sell their experience. Some sell our bodies, both male an female. Its our hypocritic society that frowns upon this. We cast it away, yet it is the demand that have kept this profession alive for centuries. We all sell ourselves in one from or another, what makes one more acceptable than the other? I know some of you will spout out Bible this...Jesus that....blah...blah...blah. Bullshit!!! Doesn't the bible also say to forgive. Then some of you will spout out....But LT what if you had a daughter that wanted to be a stripper or pornstar. Well if I did, I would probably have a sit down with her and talk it out. I sell my experience and knowledge so I could pay the bills that I have incurred. You sell your knowledge to do with what you need to. Similar to any stripper, whore, or pornstar out there.  NO i wouldn't i had a roommate that dated and married one. She was an ok girl but had a rough history and had not been dacing long when they met. I went out with several of her freinds and at one time probobly knew every topless dancer in pensacola florida. With a RARE exception they are ALL fucked in the head in one way or another. Out of over a hundred or so that i knew personally 1 actually finished her degree and became an nurse anesthtist. Last i heard she was dancing again because it paid better. 90% of them are on drugs or alcholics. Most have at least 1 kid by POS that has since bailed on them. There are too many decent women out their without the bagage to even consider a stripper. Although i rather do enjoy looking at them

Actually, being a stripper or being in the sex trade IS different than being a bank teller... and the motivation is NOT just money. Sometimes it is the attention, sometimes it is the drugs, sometimes it is low self-esteem... etc, etc
Consider this.... someone who is a stripper has put a price on something that most people would only share with someone they are intimate with. What part of being a bank teller is relevant in your sex life (other than the occasional fetish dress up game )? IMHO, FWIW, yadda, yadda.... someone who can put a price on something that should be so special and personal has something fundamentally fucked up with them. |
