Does anybody have the video of the reporter that was showing people the big bad scary .50 caliber rifles out there, who then tries it out and gets knocked in the face with the scope because he looks into it too closely when pulling the trigger? I'm pretty sure he was bleeding from it. I want to show it to a friend! It may have been a local AZ thing.

I think it was on Fox 10/Phoenix, maybe 4-5 years ago. They were at MacMillans doing a piece on the proposed legislation to make .50's NFA guns. After the reporter squeezed one off you hear 2 voices behind him. "Did it get him?" "Yep." The guy looked a little stunned. This is the same station that showed one of their news anchors throwing up during a ride with the Blue Angels.

That would be the one with a saudi (or Yemeni) guy shooting the .577 Tyranosaur. Remind not to shoot one of those things unless being charged by an elephant, cape buffalo, or a T. rex...

I'll do you one better, I have a video of a friend of mine getting hit in the face with the scope of a .50 cal that I used to have!  It's always more fun when it's someone you know!  My upload is horribly slow, but I'll get it started and post it to this thread when it's up.

Holy SHIT! Look at the "red mist"!

Hit this video on the site, after the wildebeast is hit it falls and has an expelling chest wound, a literal fountain of red mist visible for the shooters postion.

Video is :Black Wildebeest, 30/404, 180 Trophy Bonded Bear Claw, 200 Yards

This is almost as good as the "tactical lawnmower". Anyone remember that mess?

No. More info would be much appreciated with search and archives down, though. I must have missed it.

I like the .700 Nitro Express video, though. My bet is that that's a very experienced shooter, and nobody else gets to shoot it... Must be a hell of alot of recoil...
Speaking of rediculously large rounds, I wonder what the largest small-arms cartridge is (prototype included).
