Five years and change in the Army.  Five years working as a “lazy socialists” protecting him from himself.  The Iron Curtain had almost 10 years to go when I got out.
Cousin in Law Number One:  Engineer and Army Captain during Viet Nam.
Cousin in Law Number Two:  Navy flyer.  He drove those Fast little boats that Kerry used in Viet Nam.  He’s a Reservist and still in.  He graduated from Annapolis.

At work there are several Army Veterans, some who were in Nam, some not.  Some others were Navy.
And I know of at least two former Air Force NCO’s who would like to take that “lazy socialists” tag and make him eat it along with a gallon or two of CLP to help wash it down.
