In Rio Rancho (outside of Albuquerque).  I can't find the link anymore, but my sister's good friend who I met and partied with last year, shot and killed a guy who was renting a room from him.  I don't know the whole story since he's still in jail with a $100,000 bail, but it went down late on a Sunday night a couple weeks ago.  He was taken to the hospital, I guess he was beat up pretty good.  I'm thinking it sounds like a possible self-defense scenario, but there's no telling how it'll play out until the investigation is over.

I don't think it bodes well for him though, that they haven't let him out of jail.  It might be a homicide.

I don't think so, at least not for anything major.  My sister has known this guy since high school, and she never mentioned anything.
