Washington DC in 8th grade...I was too young to understand the significance of all the things I saw. And also, all over Europe when I was a freshman in high school. I was too drunk the entire time to pay attention to all the things we visited. I have pictures that tell me I was there, but I can't remember much of it.

Do you mean like sitting around in 7th hour study shooting the bull with Rush Limbaugh?
Hindsight is always pretty clear. There's a lot of things I would do differently now but it seemed like a good idea to do them that way then. No do overs in life. <G> Dennis Jenkins

Not spending more time with my grandfathers.......so much I learned AFTER they died that wants me to ask more questions, but now I can't.

You know I've been writing the story of my childhood and would bet even money if any of you did the same it would blow your mind at my age how much of history or historic events you were part of.

That's just part of life. My dad dragged me all around historic civil war and revolutionary war battlefields, Gettysburg, Fort Ticonderoga, Sackets Harbor, and he was somewhat familiar with the battles and was a little bit of a history buff, but I was a kid and just wanted to read Spiderman comic books and shoot at little creatures with my slingshot.

Went to Europe in high school. But never really took advantage of it. Hardly took any pictures and never explored the different places we went like I should of.

I got to eat lunch (on separate occasions) with both Jack Kemp (no big deal) and Justice Scalia (BIG F'ING DEAL).
