I just saw "Man on Fire" this past weekend and it got me thinking that GOD and Vigilantism just don't mix.  In this movie and others such as "Boondock Saints", the vigilante(s) are deeply religious but go on killing sprees nonetheless.

It seems that for a vigilante to be acceptable to the audience, they must read the Bible and believe in Jesus.  Of course, they are complete hypocrites in doing so.

Why not just leave the reason for vigilantism to a need for justice instead trying to blend it with a mission from GOD?

A godly man can be a vigilante. The difference between vigilantism and conventional justice isn't righteousness or godliness, but the involvement of a recognized human authority in the process. Vigilantism isn't per se a violation of divine law (at least not when the magistrate fails in his duty); it is only a violation of the social contract, if that.

Do you have any idea what an Archangel  is, and what their job is ???????
What they are reputed to have done in history ??????

They are "Glorious" beings (Luke 9:26), and have great knowledge, but are not Omniscient. The Angels are "Ministering Spirits" to them who are "heirs of salvation" (Heb 1:13-14), and "Executioners of God's Wrath

Enough said

Blood avenger, or avenger of blood.  Look it up in Strong's exhaustive concordance of the Bible.  I like the guy's reponse about the Angels.  The greek word that is translated angel is (anglos) and simply means messenger.  In the deffinition it says " by implication, Pastor"
