HOLY SHIT. That pilot greased that helo onto the ground like he was flying a glider. Fucking impressive.
Whole video was awesome. I would love to do that, all except the crashing part. Thanks for sharing OP!! |

I have only ever met one pilot who landed a Blackhawk with an engine failure and everyone walked away.
I dont know if I would ever get in one of those. I view passenger aircraft as a coffin with wings, youre along for the ride and your life is in someone elses hands. It's almost like that one weekend I went for a glider soar and had fun, the next weekend they had glider crash and the pilot and student were killed. I never went back. |

I'm going with any landing you walk away from...
What was the lawn mower starter looking doodad the pilot pulls just before getting out? |

Damn, glad everyone is ok op.
Looked like fun right up until the failure |

I would never ride in one of those sketchy looking egg beaters.

Quoted: My fear of helicopters isn't irrational! View Quote I've been in a helicopter that had big industrial staples holding the windshield together. The fuel gauge also bounced from full to empty about 4 times a second. I asked the pilot how he knew how much fuel he had, he said by how far he flys. |

I refuse to get in any whirlybird that's not turbine powered.

Quoted: I was looking through the IPC and AMM with their price list and trying to add up how much this is all going to cost.... @bfskinner View Quote The helicopter is a total loss as I understand it. I think I heard second hand how much he paid for it but I can't remember exactly. I do know it was insured. |

I’m glad you had a great time on your trip but why did you not buy or borrow a GoPro.
The banner sucks and the majority of the video is the top of the cab. |

Op, are you 100% sure you didn’t (accidentally) put a round through the engine?

Thanks for the video, OP. My son (4) just asked if he could put his car seat in the back of a helicopter. He hasn't seen the ending yet.
A Robinson was at the airport when we drove past the other day and I was explaining how crash-prone they were. So this video is educational, to my kids. Thanks, and glad nobody was hurt. |

What's the little pull chain for the pilot pulled right before getting out? At 28:38

I wonder if Robinson is the preferred chopper for hog hunting.

$2500 an hour to shoot from a helo and we can’t get rid of the movie maker banner

Nice soft landing, didn't look bad at all. Good shooting on the hogs

Damn, pilot was cool as a cucumber.
Bet your friends were pissed they didn't get to shoot hogs. Close call, great job by your pilot. Hope you tipped well. Glad nobody was seriously hurt. |
