I was a juvenile probation officer in Baton Rouge, I heard all kinds of off the wall names.  One kid was named Claudaray.  His dad was Claude and his mom was Claudette.  They had 10 kids all named some derivation of Claude.

I worked with an Indian guy (IT, not casino.....who ironically worked in IT) whose last name was Dikshit. The company made dikshit@ his email address.

It didn't take long for the company to realize they made a big mistake. For some strange reason they asked his permission to change it but he blew a gasket. They let him keep it.

That reminds me of another one.

A co-worker dated an active duty officer who was getting ready to deploy to Iraq.

I never found out the guy's first name, but if you referred to him by rank and last name you got:  Major Wood.

(Probably not that unusual, but still awkward).

There was an old guy who used to visit my favorite bar in the 1990's.  His name was actually Edgar Allen Poe.

He's buried in the cemetery near that same bar. The bar is out of business, but it's my understanding that they can't keep a headstone on his grave because it keeps getting stolen.
