You'd have to get it overturned at a state level first. Whatever happens to bump stocks doesn't impact that - although it might make for a good legal argument in court. |

Its just like I've been saying for two years - the ruling that a bump stock makes a rifle a machine gun is contrary to NFA34 because the rifle is still a semi-auto, and there is no machinery in a bump stock to automatically fire the rifle. In order for this to stand, they would have to redefine the machine gun in NFA34 which is of course impossible, because its already crystal clear, logical and mechanically correct and has been the basis of many cases/decisions over the years. It either fires more than one round when you hold the hammer back or it doesn't - cut and dried.

In the FLA the law defines a bumpstock as ANY kit, device etc... that makes a semi-auto shoot faster than it was originally designed in its original format. That would probably include binary triggers. There has been some discussion in the hometown forum as to whether aftermarket lighter/crisper triggers would also fall under that definition of a bumpstock. |
