Meh. Sedans are cheap, especially uncool ones. But how else am I supposed to haul my trailer, boat, camper etc? I don’t give a fuck, it’s funny to me. I don’t think I ever paid more than 25k otd for a truck new, but it’s been a while.

Just a few years ago when the gas prices were high, they couldn't give trucks away and the prices came down heavily. At the time, unless you had a reason for owning a truck, people were trading them in for vehicles that were better on gas. Hopefully we will never see that again but trucks are insanely expensive for what they are and most people I know don't use them for their utility. They are just the "cool" thing to have. I am not knocking people that buy them just because they want them, you should be able to enjoy and buy what you want. I am only saying they are way overpriced and will stay that way until something turns.

Wow. This is all nuts. I wonder what's driving these prices. No one's getting my old truck until they pry it from my cold, dead hands. :)

Car dealerships scrambled to pick up anything they could find to fill the lot, which increased demand for used cars as that’s all that they could get. Interest rates are at an all time low and people just got a good chunk of free money. It’s the perfect storm for people to head out and buy things. |

LMAO. I just checked Carvana on my Tahoe. $100 bucks. No thanks, I’ll keep it.

people can't afford a freaking 75,000 dollar truck and a lot of people like myself don't want one like made now days. I want roll up windows, manual locks, P/S, A/C, 4x4, regular cab, regular bed. Though, I'd consider a quad cab if it still had a regular bed on it and not some short bed crap.

I saw the same truck I bought in 2017 for $35K with the same mileage on Craigslist for $40100. It didn't last long.

Quoted: I keep getting told that my 2019 Tacoma is worth $40K the sticker was only like $32K View Quote I took mine in for its first oil change at 5k while it was getting its first check up. I bought it in mid March and they shut down with it in the delivery bay. They delivered it to my house mid May. They offered me 5k more than I bought it for on the spot. Of all the Tacomas and Tundras, they had only one new Tundra on the lot. No used trucks, no Tacos. I am now seeing my same OR for $9k more than my same truck. The Tacoma wasn't worth what I paid for it let alone a premium on that vehicle. I have thought about getting rid of it already, but can't replace it with anything right now. |

Quoted: 2016-2019 used F350 diesels are now more than what I was quoted for on a 2019 new F350 in March. The same F350 I was quoted in March, for a 2020 is now 14,000 more. From 65,000 to 79,000. Completely insane. View Quote I noticed that the used value of mine went up recently, but then the issue is replacing it for the reasons you mentioned. No tan interiors for 2020 F-150's so that means I'd have to go King Ranch or Limited, b/c not a fan of grey leather, and it's to hot here for black. Going up to 250/350 means probably have to order what I want, so a huge wait and very large price increase in the 2020's Or wait for the first year 2021 F-150's which I'm sure will have a similar price increase... |
