Sgut up about the size of the .jpg!!

Here is a pre-ban that I was considering selling but I just love them too much to part with!!

Thanks!  I don't have enough room on my computer to load my Fireworks program and I don't want to bother setting up a picture hosting service when the university I attend gives me FREE server space!![:d]

Bummer, Striker. Maybe you should give up hand loading and stick to surplus military ammo. [;)]

It's not the greatest background but the rifle looks pretty good.

That M1A which was destroyed had an aftermarket barrel with NO MARKINGS.
Link Posted: 5/20/2001 8:55:04 AM EDT
[#21]
The metallurgist's review of that kaboom concluded it was probably an improper heat-treatment of the aftermarket barrel.  They found the grain structure of the metal was inferior, causing stress cracks over time that eventually led to the catastrophic failure.  The barrel was old and well-worn, and the owner couldn't remember who made the barrel.  It had no markings, either.  Don't buy cheap parts from bargain-basement sources!

ColtShorty:
Cool set up. Did you paint the stock or buy it?
Is it a Fred's stock? If so what camo color?
It's too cool. I have a Fred's desert camo. I live in the desert and it's a day desert 6 pattern camo. Like the old day desert BDU's.

Hey Hangfire,

It is a surplus BAR pouch w/Belt.  It holds two mags per pouch for a total of (12) twelve mags.  I got it from http://www.gunpartscorp.com/

By the way Paul thanks for editing the photos.  And you better sgut up![;)]

Thanks [:D]
You can get the stock from: http://members.home.net/nouglyguns/
I actually got mine from one of his auctions at Auction Arms a few years ago, a bit cheaper than they are now. He has quite a few different patterns, no complaints about the quality.

The scope is an ATN 6-18X65.

At the start when I saw the "snow snake" question I wanted to say that it was the equal to our jackalope but didn't want to spoil it.
Good job.

Don't listen to these guys; snow snakes are a REAL THREAT.

I remember hunting Snipe back in the boy scouts.  Almost got bit by one of the buggers, luckily I got outta the way.  Those are some fast little bastards, too...I don't suggest going and finding them.

Of course, the Snipe never seemed to be around when the Troop leaders weren't around: it's like some strange conspiracy.  If I were you, I'd worry about Snow Snakes, Snipes, and all those other things out there that you've never seen but have heard people warning you about.  DON'T GO OUT UNPREPARED!
