This is my first working CAV-15. I was eager to get a real one, after toying around with my "DeWalt" yellow Non-Gun lower project.

I haven't fired it yet, since I just got my optics today, but I'm definitely looking forward to range day. [:D]

He owns Cavalry Arms which makes this lower,

The CAV-15 lower is available for purchase at a significant discount through Castle Arms in conjunction with the purchase of the Limited Edition Group Purchase rifle.  The LEGP CAV-15 lowers are OD green and will have custom serial numbers (AR15COM001, etc) as well as a free set of matching OD green shorty handguards for $285.  After 25 of these lowers are sold, all purchasers will be entered into a raffle, the winner of which gets a full rifle.  See the LEGP forum for more info or go to www.castle-arms.com.  [smoke]

I wonder if Hogue will make a slip on grip for the it. Or if they would make one with an adjustable backstrap like the Walther P99.

NO SLACK!

The Hogue HandAll fits perfectly. I will be putting my black one on this rifle, like in this picture of my old yellow one...

BTW, Hogue makes those grips in colors, for air tools. I have a blue one also.

One peice stock?

Yes. The receiver, stock, and pistol grip are all one piece. Well actually they start out life as two halves, left and right, but they become one during the manufacturing process.

The rifle has a polymer (read: STRONG PLASTIC) receiver and stock, for anyone not quite catching on... [;)]

The yellow lower looks real cool just don't know how it would be in a tactical enviroment. Unless of course you were hunting Charlie in a banana plantation.[8D]

NO SLACK!

Ive seen that gun somewhere before.......oh yeah, I playing with it (read responsibly handled it) while watching some anti gun Inside Edition show over at TREETOP's house.  Then I pulled out my AK and pretended to shoot the guy on TV only to forget that there was a round in the chamber and TREETOP's TV is no more.

Oh well, shit happens I suppose

He's gonna work his magic for me when my LEGP finally arrives.
Please let us know more, especially after you've shot 'er.

Thanks,
Del

I sense a bit of sarcasm in your post, anothergene.
Hopefully you're not forgetting thet there are some marshmallows created out of pure evil.

Del, yes, Garryowen put the lower together for me. It's one I found at his shop that was originally meant to be pink, but the color came out white(better for me[;)]).

The barrel is a fluted 24" bull, with a picatinny gas block, free floated (obviously). I've got a hard-chromed bolt and carrier, a 2 stage trigger, an extended "tactical" charging handle, and I added a Harris Bipod, an ASA 30mm Super Mount, and a Leapers AccuShot 6.5-20X56 scope.

She looks sweet. I'm going to have Garryowen build one for me in blue. I want to present it to my dad for his b-day. The colour blue for the USAF. He served from '51 to '55.

And guys, I know how I spelled "colour" [;)]

M1A-A1, what? are you Frech?  British?  Why would you spell color like that?

TreeTop, I think those were some of the ones that were supposed to be Tan and turned out a kind of cream color.  Thats why he had them in the shop, they were the wrong color.  Oh well, his mistake, your gain.

I have one of the blue and grey swirled ones myself, along with an ugly yellow green one and a couple of black ones of course.  The "colour" was a weird one, the yellow/green, and I just had to have  it.

Asking HIM about spelling? What the f*ck is "Frech"?

I am a born and bred American but my heritage is Scottish. Therefore I will spell or pronounce the "English" way. I'm crazy that way.

P.S. screw the Brits!!!

Could be. I found it next to another one that faded from white to pink, and Shawn said they were supposed to be pink.[?]

I've got plans for a green one, a gray one, and of course a black one. I'm gonna go broke for sure...

M4, I did not say in my post that I intentionally spelled it wrong, like he did.  We are in the USA and "colour" is the wrong spelling.  If I spoke "queens english" his would be right, I somehow doubt he was posting his post from England.  I am allowed typo's like anyone else.  Get over it, I think you know I meant FRENCH.  Go reread his post and mine.

Maybe he did have some pink ones come out that color.  He was supposed to get me a tan one but the colorant was wrong or the wrong amount and he wound up some that same color.  We were both kind of bummed.

You are correct. I'm not posting from England & I understood you meant "FRENCH". In jest I really do spell the way I do. It freaks out the locals. Especially the people I work with when I always spell "tyre" instead of tire.(still have the shipping lable & part # off of a Dunlap TYRE we had in stock at our Nissan parts dept.circa late 80's)[@:D]

Just to prove to people that on parts of this globe it REALLY is correct spelling...
