Tybee Island here. Where is a good range around here? Southeastern over in SC is down for now, clays only at the moment. I heard about a DPS range in Richmond Hill but can't find any info.

ArmaLite is going to have a range day up near Athens on April 8th. Call Norman at Tucker Gun an 770-493-9400 to register. They are bring everything including an AR50.

Take 17 to 144. Left on Kilkenny Rd.. Go down Kilkenny until you get to the 2nd dirt road on your left. No rangemaster. Don't go alone (you are in the middle of nowhere and some people don't know alcohol and guns don't mix). You will also need targets and target stands.

Since you are on tybee, may I also suggest the Cherizo con Huevos at the Breakfast Club.

Dizzy, I can't remember the range name. Call Norman at that number I posted and he will tell you. You have to register with him anyway. Glockshooter, thanks, I will go try to find it. You say it is unstaffed and you just go on your own.

Larry G...The DNR range is 12-15 miles out GA Hwy 144 from Richmond Hill (Hwy 17 & 144) Turn left at Kilkenny sign and take second left onto dirt road...range is 1 mile up the road. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends...but if ya go as a group..and unpack the AR's, and act a little strange...the crowd will thin out quick. In this neck of the woods you're liable to see all the family from Tiger Ridge. [:D]

The only range I know of up there is the DeKalb County range off I-20E at Panola Rd. exit.

Find Richmond Hill on the map, hwy 144 and
hwy 17 meet in the center of R.H. If you have an old map hwy 144 can be picked up at exit 15 off of I-95(I can't remember the new exit #). Tell me from what direction you are coming and I will be glad to give you directions. I live in R.H and will probably be at the range on Saturday April 7th. Maybe all of us can get together there soon.
