These are pics of my lower warehouse buildings on the Mississippi river yesterday.
My levees held but the water pressure created boils (like a spring) that appeared on the building side of the levees & no way the pumped could keep up. Got everything out except some crating material.
The river came up some more today but it seems to be slowly falling now. Watch out down river!
Back in 93 those tugs were docked in the plant door with gangplanks into the factory & boat to land at other end.
These pics are NOT RRA, they are 2-300 miles north of me in IL. The rain that brought this quick rise was over the weekend north of us but mostly in IA this time. But there have been fairly constant showers all over the upper midwest for several weeks & it all finds it's way to the Mississippi.
