For mother's day we went to eat at a teppan table at a japanese restaurant tonight. If you are not familiar with teppan, you are seated around a large cooking grill and while the chef cooks your meal he performs ninja like acts with the cooking utensils. If you do not have 8 people in your party you will most likely be seated with another group. This is where my nightmare started. The family joining us made their son with torret's syndrome sit right next to me. Well, the first 10 minutes of grunts, yells and hand waving I was able to ignore, but then came 80 minutes of added chest thumping and him looking over at me while eminating sounds that can only be described as coming from "The Exorcist". While this is going on his family is completely ignoring him and started talking about how proud they were of some aunt participating in the MMM at the capitol today. By the time the bill was paid and I was ready to leave, my right ear hurt from that kid's barking and head was pounding from the anti-gun propaganda.  Then in the parking lot right next to our car I see a car with not only with a "gore/lieberman" but also a MMM sticker!!!

What have I done to deserve this???

I would have gone of the deep end and left at the first mention of that MMM crap, the kid is one thing but putting up with crap like that is another.

It's bad enough having to put up with that crap from all of the other sources out there in society like the media and politians, I won't stand for it coming from any of my family members.   If they push the matter further either I'll leave or they will.

I don't know why people take their "challenged" children into public if that "challenged" child will be a huge annoyance to everyone else and lacks the cognitive ability to gain any sort of redeeming value from his public exposure.  That being said, when confronted with "challenged" children, we need to show the child all the love and tolerance we can afford.  It's not the kid's fault.  It was wrong of the parents to ruin everyone's night at the restaurant. If the child is just funny looking but quiet, that's a different matter.

If they started in the MMM stuff, I would have been tempted to open both barrels into them and make their dining experience as horrible as they made mine.  Too bad you didn't whip out your copy of the latest American Rifleman or More Guns, Less Crime. That would have shut them up.

I suggest a hit of pepper spray under the door handles of the car. Driver opens the car rubs eyes and it's all done but the crying

They would've love my van being parked next to them. I have my big 'ol NRA LIFE MEMBER sticker on the driver side rear window and my CALIFORNIA RIFLE and PISTOL ASSOCIATION sticker on the passenger side. Heck, i'd gone home just to retreive my JEWS FOR THE PRESERVATION OF FIREARMS OWNERSHIP pins, etc AND got my copy of MORE GUNS, LESS CRIME out of the van.

That just makes me want to call my shooting buddies and invite them to dinner, NOW! [}:)]

Hey IM,-you did not happen to go to Ichibans did you?

PS I did see the MMM freaks too-a bunch of drum beating long haired fucking freaks.  The want to register handguns-Hmm, I think we have been doing this on EVERY gun purchased for how many years now-Fucking dumb bitches.  They think that every criminal will register their gun-bullshit-it is already illegal for them to have one-try puytting them in jail for many years instead.

Should have identified yourself as a firearms owner, and asked them to drop/ change their subject of discussion as you find it offensive and discriminatory. Remember that the definition of a hate group is a group that seeks to deprive another of their rights. As for Raven, Shit happens. In anything but a socialist society, negitive mutations don`t generally survive.

Nope, it is local place that I have been going to every once in a while for some time now.  I cannot say the name of the place because I know the next time I go there, someone would make sure that some torrett's syndrome rights group is outside picketing and accusing me of a hate crime.
