Of course I'm afraid of a man with a gun, whether it be a .22, .25, or Daisy Red Rider BB gun. Heck, I'm afraid of a man with a sharp stick if he intends to use it.

Being prepared to fight back and defend yourself does not negate the threat, though it does give you the ability to attempt to counter it. Unless you are somehow guaranteed to get the first shot in and stop them before they can act, pretty much any threat should be taken seriously.

Of course, it would be funny to ask them if they already filed off the front sight...

Knew a guy who took a 25 to the lower back. He was a 270# body builder and club bouncer. Once he learned to walk again, he was finally able to works again. Hobbling around pushing carts at Target last I seen him.

The BB hit Oscar Adrian Granillo's eye and ripped its way through the skull and lodged in his brain.

A friend of mine used to joke about guns like that saying "If someone shoots me with that and I find out about it, I am going to be pissed."

A friend of mine was shot with one back in the 90’s.

It fucked him up pretty good at the time. It ended up very close to his spine as it passed through the front and on to the back. The slug is still in him to this day.

I’d take that as a serious threat.

I personally know, 1st hand, 2 people shot with pellet/bb guns in the eye.

1 is maimed for life with half of an eye. The other is dead, projectile went thru his eye & severed his optic nerve. Bleeding to death.

So yeah, 25acp...
