Get caught in Ohio for a DUI?(even with your first offense) You get a new kind of vanity plate: a red and yellow license plate for allll too see you have a DUI on your record!

Your thoughts?

How bout putting a 5 pointed yellow star decal on the doors and hood of your car?

Actually it doesn't bother me, the comedian Gallagher used to talk about stuff like putting "I'm a dumbass" signs on the cars of idiotic, irresponsible drivers, so I gues OH took him at his word!

Why do they seem to crack down on DUI soo much recently.  They dont seem to have a problem with crack dealers and methheads going around freely.

This is not new. It's just the next new thing to push to try and curb DUI in Ohio. I think it has been around for years.

You should figure out who your enemies are and this is a good place to start.

The .08 came to the states by way of federal blackmail courtesy of MADD.

From Activistcash.com ---

MADD has redefined its mission. The original goal of going after “drunk” drivers has now been replaced by the goal of eliminating any drinking and driving.

If truth-in-advertising laws applied to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, its name would be changed to Mothers Against All Drinking of Any Kind. MADD’s crusade has turned into a prohibitionist movement. Instead of targeting repeat offenders and those who are truly too impaired to drive, the twenty-first-century MADD endorses policies that would target social drinkers.

MADD founder Candy Lightner has broken ties with the group in recent years. She has written of her worry “that the movement I helped create has lost direction.” Many are critical of MADD’s support for tax increases on beer and wine, or its position in favor of treating alcohol like cocaine and heroin in government warnings.

Those of us who have had or know families destroyed by drunk drivers know who the enemy is.

No shit a man average size can consume three beers in 1 to 1 1/2 hr and will fail the PBT.
Leave a man along for drinking a beer "if he is not drunk" and fuck up the drug heads.

Good, I don't think they do enough to these fuckers.  I always love hearing about people w/ 5 or 6 DUI's on their record, and their still driving.  That's sad.  They should make them ride a bike or walk.  Public transit is another route.  Make them take the bus if they can't put down the beer to drive.  Better yet, make them take the bus.  I have no sympathy for people that risk the lives of the rest of us w/ no regret or concern.  Orange plate?  Hell, give them an orange car.

That'll keep them from purchasing a gun. Guess that's one way to keep shooters from drinking and driving. Good!

And there you have it in a nutshell, my friends.

Case in point, there is NO Echeck required on vehicles in Columbus (Franklin county).

Let's see, where could this lead?

Sparkled ones for meth heads.

Pink ones for sex offenders.

BUZZZZ! WRONG!

Systematic circumvention of the 2nd ammendment by incorporating higher jail time served or not into the law, thus disarming a broader and broader cross section of the populace.  Happening on more law enforcement fronts that you can imagine, don't even wanna get started on this.  DUI is bad, I'm not arguing that but let's get real here guys.  This .08 BS is just that... BS!    BAC is a good tool but when you start this shit where .gov threatens to withold $$$ unless the state conforms we are fucked.  .08 is jacked!  MADD is a bunch of idiots who would probably condone prohibition were it reenacted!  Take a couple tablespoons of cough syrup/codeine and you are just as impared as you might be at .08, .10 was just fine here in PA.

For those of you who live in a .10 state BOHICA because .08 is coming soon, you can count on it.

So I am paying $20 a year (read extra tax) to get my car checked out in Cuyahoga county, but the largest population center in the state is exempt?  WTF?

Another Taft-ism?

Echeck is a mandate of the Fed Gov't (I believe).  I know that it is based on air pollution.  We have less in Columbus.  They do expect that we will have it in several years, based on current trends, though.  So fear not, "Mistake on the Lake", we'll be paying soon enough.
