I am getting popups every 10 seconds. The google one only works sometimes, and a different one works 1/3 of the time. I keep getting the same friggin ones, too.

Is there ONE piece of downloadable software that blocks them all? I am totally sick of this.

And no, I don't download anything normally( not even porn.

Well first, you need to download AdAware, because it sounds like some spyware has infected your PC.  Then, install Zonealarm or some other type of firewall if you don't already have it, preferable some antivirus software too.  I go the dreaded popup infection a few months ago, and AdAware cleaned it right up for me.

Download Opera browser at www.opera.com. The free one is full featured except there is a ad in the upper right hand corner.

When you get Opera unpacked and installed:
in the upper left hand corner select FILE, on the drop down menu select QUICK PREFERENCES, and
click on "open requested pop-up windows only."

That should get rid of 99.999% of your problems.

I am trying them ALL.

I am going to build an impenetrable fortress of firewalls that no popup can get thru.

So...help...me...God

I don't mean firewalls in that sense of the word. Firewall meaning 'whatever concoction of things that will stop the invading forces of the Nation Popup.

I downloaded Mozilla and no popups. Hell, it
took care of the whole damn thing!

Another vote for Opera. I've been using it since version 5 on both Windows and Mandrake Linux--it's fast, stable, secure (if you edit the SSL/TLS ciphers) and has pop-up blocking. Also, you can check out the new Mozilla Firebird browser--it's scary fast and also has pop-blocking.

Just did the mozilla firebird way. It works.

Scary fast is right. Why is it faster than IE6?

Why is it faster? Microsoft seems to put so much garbage (which they tout as "features") into their code that it bogs their stuff down.
