...MY DREMEL TOOL!!!
I got this accessory kit from Costco the other day... has 205 pieces!! for like 18.00! I went on a "let-me-see-what-I-can-do-with-my-Dremel" rampage around the house... polished my wedding ring that I found (it was under my truck car seat for 3+ years and COVERED in mung) Now looks like new...a SHIIIIINY... NICE! Poished my keys took the grinding stone... I have NO MORE ROUGH ELBOWS!! WHOO HOO!!!!! Damn! What a GREAT tool... this kit has drill bits, 4 different size collets TONS of grinding, cutting, polishing, sanding bits.... OOOOH It has engraving bits too... what can I engrave??? Mmmmmm toools

OK Now I moved on to sharpening my Henckel knives... They havent been this sharp since the day I bought them.
Also had a small chrome 'sword' letter opener that was actually brass that was chrome plated. Ground off the chrome plating and buffed up that brass.... NIIIIICE!!!! Duct Tape, Dremel and a Chain saw... do you really need anything else?? |

Oh shure. It starts with a dremel tool. Next thing you know, you'll have a Sherline lathe and milling machine. You then build an AR15 lower recever out of aluminium stock. Then another. Then another. So on and so on.

Today's Dremel challenge..
. Do-it-yourself dentistry. When I bought mine last year, the clerk said a surprising number of guys describe home dentistry/oral surgery projects as their reason for buying this or that attachment. . So, go ahead Mr all-American Dremel tool owner guy....polish those pearly whites...and while your at it, sharpen Fido's fangs. Then, before you put that bad boy away, grab a gun, any gun. Disassemble and buff, buff, buff away big guy. Dremel yourself dizzy; confident in the knowledge that you can deal with the damage later. Now go, and pop open a Bud Light Mr. Dremel tool owner guy. You've earned it. This Buds for you! |

My grandfather's right big toenail would, if not tended to, grow to enormous, incredible, shoe-distorting thickness. It was like a miniature horse's hoof growing on top of his toe. This was before Dremels became common, so he regularly whipped that bad boy into shape with a grinding stone on an electric drill - while we kids stood around and watched. (Hey, black & white TV, 3 channels, no video games.)
BTW, this a pretty damned funny thread. |

Dremel duct tape (DrFridge) chainsaw (DrFridge again) JB Weld (Mac-Daddy) coathanger/baling wire {me} rubber mallet (Aimless) WD-40 (Nightdriver) ??? ???? ????? I will suggest that the rubber mallet Aimless suggested is nice for most stuff but some jobs require a bit more. This is where the BFH/SeaBee Engineering Device/Chevy Tool small sledgehammer comes in. Just the thing for adjusting Romanian AK cockeyed sights, fixing your GM car, smooshing creepy-crawlies etc. |

I have a rechargeable Dremel, so now I'm tethered to a 120V outlet. But, you should see the giant electric die grinder (this monster is about 5 or 6 times the size of a normal Dremel tool) - need a weld ground out or a broken tap hogged out?

I use mine all the damn time. Can't wait for my Flitz polish to get here so I can quit using the red polish that comes with it. Then all my firearms be sparklin' [:E] I have a table grinder and just got an angle grinder for Xmas. If you thought a Dremel was addictive, don;t get an angle grinder! I went to the steel yard just to get crap to grind on!!! Now I just have to wait for my wood grinder attachments from Lee Valley [url]http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.asp?page=42527&category=1,42524&ccurrency=2&SID=[/url] Anybody got the battery powered Dremel? I want one for small jobs but how is the power on them? It has got to either be pretty slow or burns batteries pretty fast. What say you? |
