As you can see (hopefully) from the picture it is a rear sight for my Charles Daly 1911 type. I am not looking for comments on the gun I just need a new sight. The adjustment screw is stripped and therefore will not stay set. The base of it is about 7mm wide; it that helps. I was thinking of a ghost ring from Enterprise Arms. Any thoughts on that or other sights is most welcome!!

Sorry for the blurry pics, I will try to get better ones. I am still learning to use the digi cam.

Edit: Thanks DnPRK. The drill and tap idea worked very well. I appreciate the help.

A rear sight for a .45?

They have more stuff for .45s than you can shake a stick at.

Drill and tap for the next larger size of set screw. 30 minute trip to the hardware store, 10 cents for a set screw and $10 for a tap.
