sure, why not? might want to keep it away from your postban lowers though. if you're one of the paranoid types then have a relative or good friend store it at their house.

Yes, you can. You can even put it in the safe with your post bans, just dont actually mount it on a post-b receiver.

Technically you can buy all the pre-ban uppers that you want. If you do not own a pre-ban lower but own a post-ban lower, then it could be considered by BATF as "constructive possession". They would have to really be on a witch hunt to want to prosecute you for that, but they could. That is the technical nitty gritty.
