anyone own a punching bag.  i am looking at some and cant decide whether to get the 100lb or 80lb.  thanks

IF your medium build or bigger get the 100lb bag unless someone will be holding it for you.

I'm 6'5" 225, the 100lb bag by Everlast and duct tape is perfect for me.

Get the heaviest one you can afford. I have a 200 lb. Everlast and am very happy with it. It takes all my punches and kicks without someone there to hold it. 100 lbs. is probably enough but I found this one for a good price and it was too good to pass up.

I just sold a 100# everlast bag in a yard sale. Someone had left it in one of my in-laws renthouses. I got $25 for it.

I forgot to mention that the 200 lb bag turned out to be a two man operation while hanging. I did it once with a floor jack by my self but it wasn't easy. If you thin you migh be hanging it up when you use it and storing it in a closet or somthing like that, get the 80 lb. Even the 100lb bags are hard to hang by yourself.
