I am just curious! I think I will stick with Bush since I am a raving lunatic conservative extremist Republican! There I said it!

BUT WHAT IF!!! Who will you vote for in 2004 if King BUSH rolls on the gun ban?

I will vote for a Dem as long as they pose them on a photoshoot hunt so that I know they are regular Joes. (Totally joking!)

I threaten to go Libertarian if GWB doesn't let the AWB sunset but I probabbly won't decide until November. Last time Bush carried the state by 90,000 votes.

I'm a single issue voter this time.

If the AWB dies and is not extended or replaced by a more sinister law, I will vote GWB.

If we still have an AWB on Sept 14 2004, I will CHECK EVERY DEMOCRAT BOX ON MY BALLOT!

Hell, I'll even post a picture of the ballot if GWB makes me vote Democrat.

You have to ask yourself this question:

Is it more important for the Republic to keep a Democrat such as Howard Moe Curly Dean out of the White House, or for the citizens to have a bayonet lug or a folding stock on their favorite so-called 'assault weapon'?

After almost 10 years under the Clinton- era 'Assault Weapon Ban', it amazes me how many assault weapons there still are, and how well the gun manufacturers and the citizens have circumvented the ban.

I would gladly KEEP the ban in place, if I knew as a certainty that there was never, ever going to be any more attempts to ban weapons or otherwise interfere with the RKBA!

But, alas, there can be no such certainty so long as there is an organized Democrat Party that seeks to disarm us.

So, I will vote for George W. Bush no matter what happens to the AWB renewal or sunsetting.

I only hope that Tom DeLay (R-TX) manages to keep his promise to us that the renewal bill will never see the light of day!

The Democrats don't sound too pumped up about gun control nowadays, either, do they? [:D]

I will never vote for Bush because of his “Patriot Act” and other related issues. I will also not vote for any democrat other than Dean because of their positions on guns (especially not John “The Hunter” Kerry). Dean’s position on guns is very similar to GWB’s, so neither gain favor over the other on this issue.

The only party that really reflects my political philosophy is the Libertarian Party, so I will probably vote for them. However, it the AWB is renewed I might still be so PO’ed about it by Election Day that I’d vote for Dean just s I could hurt Bush’s chances as much as possible.

I've lived through more Presidents than most of you guys.  When I was born, it was FDR's last year.  Some Dems were okay.  I didn't mind JFK.  LBJ was a crook and murder.  Carter was just a dumb back-hills boy.  Truman was before my thinking time but I liked what I heard.  Clinton was something else.  I honestly believe he was a crook, debaucher, murderer and was impeached.  Ronnie was my hero.  Bush No. 1 let me down big time (acted like he didn't want to win and raised taxes).  Nixon was okay.  A great statesman but dumb in trying to cover up his over-zealot boys. Dubya is really different.  When this man says something, he'll do it.   He's no dummie. He's surrounded himself with very smart people.  Is winning the war on terror possible?  I think not.  But he will put a lot of dents in their fenders.  Dubya has my vote hands down.  Sorry, but anyone voting for any one of 9 dwarfs has their head wedged in their ass...

It hasn’t been decided yet, but it will probably be Harry Brown again. The 2004 Libertarian Party National Convention will be held May 27-31 and they will officially select a candidate then. Here is the convention website:

There are bigger issues than the AWB to use as a voting guide...

Socialist/Universal Health Care:

Bush: Against
Dean: For

Finishing the job in Iraq:
Bush: For
Dean: Against

Kowtowing to the United Nimbies:
Bush: Against
Dean: For

Tax Increases:
Bush: Against
Dean: For

See the picture...

Even if by some odd chance GW gets a bill to sign (and we're within 6mo, so far no dice), there are more reasons to vote for him than not to...

Although not quite as old as Railman, I too remember all the presidents from JFK. I agree with everything he said except for Carter, who was my hero for fighting and winning (not under his term of office) the Cold War. GWB is the real deal and hopefully we can find somebody like minded in 2008.

Let me tell you a little story about ham and eggs.

A farmer walks out into the yard one day, and loudly proclaims, "I think I'll have ham and eggs for breakfast."

Now, the pigs and the chickens all get very wide eyed upon hearing this.

The difference is, the chickens are concerned, but the pigs are INVOLVED.

Bush's domestic policies will destroy or seriously harm this country. Drug bill will be added to and cause taxes to be raised enormously, especially for our children and grandchildren. Patriot Acts destroy 4th and 5th. His savings plans next year will destroy retirement plans by employers, especially small employers. His No Left Behind education bill is unconstitutional and will futher socialism. He talks conservative but does not preside as a conservative. He ignores the Constitution he is sworn to uphold.

Where have I been? Moved into a new house. The other guy in my 2-man office retired in June, his replacement got here last week. Workload has just about doubled since the war started. Thanksgiving and a houseful of people. Christmas and an assload of shopping and a houseload of people. The Guinea Pig's always fucking hungry. Every time I make a move, the little bastards squeakin' his head off for alfalfa. Change of command for the commander. Change of responsibility for the 1SG. Veteran's Day ceremony. Visit to the Veteran's home for Christmas. And about a thousand other things.

Other than that, I guess I really have no excuse for not being here. My bad.

Well, maybe the big stretch of woods behind my house has something to do with it too. [:D]

Voting for Democrats, if the AWB ban is renewed, is kind of like cutting your dick off if your wife or girlfriend says *no* some night.

I will not vote for ANY Democrap, for ANY reason. They openly seek to usurp our god given, individual, constitutional rights.

If the AWB gets renewed or expanded, I may just be too busy to vote(for the president, at least) that day.

My state always throws it's electoral votes to the Democraps, anyway, but at least my vote won't show up in the national totals.

Actually, I'm not kidding.

In my story about the ham and eggs, I left out one very important group: the cows.

You see, the cows, upon hearing of the breakfast choice of the farmer, are neither concerned nor involved. They have their own agenda, and the fact that the farmer wants ham and eggs for breakfast does not threaten them. What they fail to realize is, that the farmer might want a hamburger for lunch.

So what we have is:

The pigs. They are threatened in a serious way RIGHT NOW. Just as the guarantees under the Second Amendment are threatened seriously RIGHT NOW.

The chickens. They are not so much threatened right now, but things ain't looking good. Just like the guarantees of the rest of the Amendments and the Constitution are looking a bit threatened.

The cows. They're not so concerned with all of this constitution stuff. They just don't want their situation to change. They feel safe, no one's fucking with them, they can graze and eat and do what they want. They see what's going on in the barnyard, but it really doesn't affect them.
