Get the version with the lightweight "M4" barrel, or you'll find the HBAR gets VERY heavy very quickly. It's also much slower to get on target.

Second,
I've got one (with a fluted barrel), it was the first Bushmaster I bought, and ended buying 3 more. It handles really well, and I love that AK brake. I put the upper on a full auto lower (had to change out the bolt carrier group first), put the selector on AUTO and let loose with two 30 round mags. Almost no muzzel climb what so ever with the AK brake, I was really impressed. If you are thinking about getting one, you won't be dissapointed. Good Luck. |

You can't go wrong with Bushmaster. I would go with the M4 upper though...

I have both the 14.5/HBAR with AK and a 14.5/M-4 with Phantom Bushmaster uppers.
The AK brake is loud but very effective. The extra weight is slower but makes it hang on target better. The M-4 barrel is lighter which makes it easier to carry and quicker to point. The disadvantage is that the lightness means that it wobbles more when shooting distant targets. Of the two barrels I like the lighter M-4. The Phantom is a very effective flash suppressor. |

I got one of those and am very happy with it. Mine has the M1 rear sight though, which is want I wanted.
