Married first time for 10 years

she wanted a rich man -- cops are a lot of things, rich is not one of them. She remarried --- a Doctor.

Married second time, did it right, 20 years now and going strong.

finally divorced.

I too was one of them "1x only" people.  You can work on it all you want, if it's not a team effort, it won't work.

Presently working on a new relationship, I hope I learned from my previous experinces.  I plan on being 1000% sure if and when there is a next time.

Married once, I'm still trying to work on it, but for whatever reason she thinks it's just supposed to "happen"...

After 19 years, I'm getting tired of this S**t ... there are days I'm ready to take her suggestions and "find someone else more compatible"...

Talk about frustrating... Ah, well, I've set a deadline, my daughter starts college in Jan, and if things don't start to improve after that, I may just figure the wifey doesn't care enough to work at it.

She's a good woman in most respects, but just hasn't a clue about  making a marriage work.

Dated my wife for 6 years, married 3 years now.  Heck, it's a marriage.

Q: Why do husbands die before their wives?
A: Because they want to.

Agreed 100%....You did your part but then if you other significant didn't do hers.....then nothing can.

Best of luck my friend.

Jeez, some of you guys married 20+ years? Some people don't even get that much time for murder.
Seriously, congratulations. Seems like everyone I know has been married AT LEAST once, most with horror stories about the break-ups.
Me? Why buy the cow when the milk is free.
Actually, I live with and own a business with (NO serious financial liability) my girlfriend of 5 years now, a wonderful gal from the sticks in Kentucky. What a refreshing find after 8 years of materialistic, stuck-up and pretentious Kommiefornia women.

You left out the best choice "Happily Married and gonna stay that way forever"

Best day of my life was the day I married my wife.

Smartest thing I ever did was ask her out and later asked her to marry me.

Almost 24 years with mine. She is the best thing that ever happened to me and I am damn glad I got me a southern gal. Women most other places I've been ain't worth shit, much less marriage. I will say, though, that if something ever happened to our marriage I doubt I'd remarry.

Feb 21 will be twenty five for me.

Met my wife in junior high school.  Both went to the UofF out of high school, I transferred after one year.  I went to work after my AA degree.  She graduated.  We got married after that and she worked when I went back to school a couple of years later.

Times were tough at first but we stuck it out.

I sure am glad we did.  God has blest our marriage and given us two wonderful children.  She has homeschooled since the beginning.  My eldest just earned a full academic scholarship.  My youngest is even a better student.

Sinners all, we have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour.  Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again from the dead.  God has blest us greatly.

And we all get to spend eternity with Him together!

Second time around for both my wife and me. We started out as friends, met after we both were getting divorced. Kinda cried on each others shoulder for a while then started spending more and more time together. One day we were talking and I asked her "So, when are you going to marry me?" She said, "How about today?" The rest is history. She is a good wife and I try to be a good husband. I look foward to growing old together.
My first wife however, was and still is a pain in my ass. She married a loser who is now running around on her. I wouldn't care but it is playing hell with my daughters emotional state.
Hessian-1[wave]out!

According to NY law, I am living under the conditions of a separation agreement. Divorce will be final when daughter starts 1st grade in Sept 2006 or she remarries, which ever comes first.  Then I'll only hafta pay child support instead of child support plus alimony.
