I have to ask because my membership is set to expire at the end of the day (12/27) and I sent my renewal payment out 3 weeks ago. I have yet to hear from the powers that be, and I would rather not see my membership privileges lapse.

How long is it taking the rest of you to have your payments acknowledged & your accounts modified?

Mine's set to expire on the 3rd of Jan. I mailed a check out around the 5th of Dec. It's still not been updated.

Renewed w/PayPal about a week or 10 days ago, still but not updated yet, either. I hope it goes through before the 1st when it's set to expire.

I didn't get any kind of acknowledgement when I paid the renewal fee.

But the foghorn quit going off when I logged on and my profile showed a new renewal date.

Oh, and the spam from porn sites dropped off too.

You guys dont worry about it!
Your membership starts the day GB initiates it.
Not the day you send it in.
You will get a full 365 days with your yearly payment.
There is NO penalty for letting a membership lapse.
When it finally does get renewed, its business as usual with the same name and post count (Whew!)

I'm not worried about the 365 days part. I read that I could lose my photo album if it expires. I sent in a check about 4 weeks ago and am still not updated.

I don't want to lose my album.

when i first joined I told Paypal to make this an auto payment every year...I know for a fact I didn't join on new years day and sent one of the Avila's an e-mail telling them this and have never heard back...I'm not paying by check and then have Paypal send them a payment in a few months...hate to see it expire but if it does...so be it

My son's was during Gunstock, took about 4-5 days(Paypal). Mine was paid for Christmas eve(Paypal) and have heard they many times update on weekends. So maybe today!!-? [coffee]

I sent my paypal abotu a week ago - but my tool bar is still warning me that it's going to expire on 1/3/2004.

Renewed via the dreaded PayPal and the exp. date at the top of the page disappeared within a couple days. Just make sure you let them know in the PayPal dialog box what your screen name is.

Mine took about three weeks, Add a week when ARFCOM went dark for a week when the server went down.

I was concerned so I emailed Ed Sr. and GB and it was activated soon afterward.

It has to be a tremendous task trying to keep this site alive and everything in balance.

Can you help a guy out? I been looking for where to go to find how to become a card carring member of this site but I haven't found a place where i could pay my dues to become a full fledged member. Could someone steer me in the right direction. Also is there anyone else from Wyoming who is addicted to this site?

No one needs to worry. To all--check the threads in the Team forum, as [b]GoatBoy[/b] has posted there. He has extended all memberships, due to the HUGE number of them he has to process. He is processing them as fast as humanly possible. No one will be lost. Thanks for your patience. [:)]
