Yeah, my neighbors came by the other night. I was in my PJs and had my suppressed G19 behind my back. I just discreetly put it on the couch under a pillow. They noticed but didn't seem to mind...

Haha. If I come to the door without a gun my neighbors ask me if they have the right house[:D]
Of course just about everyone around here is armed. I'm just one of the few that has one on me at all times. |

I make it a point for my neighbors and friends (insofar as possible) to be ignorant of whether I own firearms or not. Don't see the need to share that intel to them, or to whomever they might speak. Your neighbor might (or might not) be cool but his crack-addict brother-in-law might not be.
No need to divulge that essential intel. |

My neighbor showed up at my door this morning armed with a 12ga shotgun - he wondered if I wanted to go bust some clays (we sometimes shoot clays in the field behind our houses).
I am now out of low brass shells! FWIW, I hit 14 of 20, and it's windy today.... |
