I’ve been drivin‘ all night my hand’s wet on the wheel
There’s a voice in my head that drives my heel
And my baby calls that she needs me here
It’s half past four and I’m shifting gear

When she gets lonely and the longing gets too much
She sends a cable comin‘ in from above
We don’t need to talk at all

We got a thing that’s called radar love
We got a wave in the air
Radar Love

Radio’s playin‘ some forgotten song
Brenda Lee’s coming on strong
The road has got me hypnotized
And I’m spinning into a new sunrise

When I get lonely and I’m sure I’ve had enough
She sends her comfort coming in from above
We don’t need a letter at all

We got a thing that’s called radar love
We got a line in the air
Radar Love

SOLO

No more speed I’m almost there
Gotta keep cool now, gotta take care
Last car to pass here I go
And the line of cars goes down real slow

And the radio played some forgotten song
Brenda Lee’s coming on strong
And the newsman sang his same song
Oh one more radar lover gone

When I get lonely and I’m sure I’ve had enough
She sends her comfort coming in from above
We don’t need a letter at all

We got a thing that’s called radar love
We got a line in the sky
We got a thing that’s called radar love
We got a thing that’s called radar love

It just came on the radio, I love this song (I wish I was driving right now)

Golden Earing? or White Lion?

Both versions rocked!

I've never even heard White Lion's version (thank goodness)

Seriously...it is one of the few re-makes that I think is as good as the original.

track 10 on "Big Game" (listening to it right now....)

Leave us not forget...

Twilight Zone
(G.Kooymans - Nada/Snamyook Music)

(somewhere in a lonely hotel room,
there's a guy starting to realize
that eternal fate has turned its back on him,
it's two a.m...........)

It's two a.m., the fear has gone
I'm sittin' here waitin', the gun still warm
Maybe my connection is tired of takin' chances
Yeah there's a storm on the loose, sirens in my head
I'm wrapped up in silence, all circuits are dead
I cannot decode, my whole life spins into a frenzy

Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
the place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
the place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far
Soon you will come to know,
when the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone

I'm falling down a spiral, destination unknown
A double-crossed messenger, all alone
I can't get no connection, can't get through, where are you
Well the night weighs heavy on his guilty mind
This far from the borderline
and when the hit man comes
he knows damn well he has been cheated

Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
the place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far
Help I'm steppin' into the twilight zone
the place is a madhouse, feels like being cloned
My beacon's been moved under moon and star
Where am I to go, now that I've gone too far
Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone
Soon you will come to know, when the bullet hits the bone

Every time I get in my car and turn on the radio, I hope I hear Radar Love. One of the very best driving songs. Along with Sympathy for the Devil.

One of my favorites is this one by Chuck Berry (George Thorogood did a good cover).

I bought a brand new airmobile
It was custom made, it was a Flight DeVille,
With a powerful motor and some hideaway wings,
Push down on the buttons and you can hear her sing,

Now you can't catch me,
No, baby, you can't catch me,
'Cause if you get too close you know I'm gone like a cool breeze,

New Jersey Turnpike in the wee wee hours,
I was rolling slowly 'cause of drizzlin' showers,
Up come a flattop he was movin' up with me,
Then come wavin' good-bye in a little old suped up Jimmy,
I put my foot in my tank and I began to roll,
Moanin' sirens, was the state patrol,
So I get out my wings and then I blew my horn,
Bye-bye New Jersey I become airborne,

Now you can't catch me,
No, baby you can't catch me,
'Cause if you get too close you know I'm gone like a cool breeze,

Flyin' with my baby last Saturday night,
Wasn't a gray cloud floatin' in sight,
Big full moon shinin' up above,
Cuddle up honey be my love,
Sweetest little thing that I ever seen,
I'm gonna name you Mabelline,
Flyin' with all the things set on flight control,
Radio tuned to rock 'n' roll,
Two, three hours passin' by,
Altitude dropped to 505,
Fuel consumption way too fast,
Let's get on home before we run out of gas,

Now you can't catch me,
No baby, you can't catch me,
'Cause if you get too close,
You know I'm gone like a cool breeze

On the day I was born, the nurses all gathered 'round
And they gazed in wide wonder, at the joy they had found
The head nurse spoke up, and she said leave this one alone
She could tell right away, that I was bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone

I broke a thousand hearts, before I met you
I'll break a thousand more baby, before I am through
I wanna be yours pretty baby, yours and yours alone
I'm here to tell ya honey, that I'm bad to the bone
Bad to the bone
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone

I make a rich woman beg, I'll make a good woman steal
I'll make an old woman blush, and make a young woman squeal
I wanna be yours pretty baby, yours and yours alone
I'm here to tell ya honey, that I'm bad to the bone
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
B-B-B-B-Bad
Bad to the bone

Excellent tune for sure.

Another good tune is Montrose's "Bad Motor Scooter",the whole first album is good to cruise to.

My all time favorite had to be Iron Maiden's "Running Free" from their first album. Of course, I was 16 when I first heard it.
