Yeah, you got a whole lot to rant about there.

Much worse than a guy who's not making enough money to even think about putting something in the stock market, just has maybe barely enough to keep his family eating, and has to worry about getting a bullet in the back in Tikrit.

Just trying to throw a little perspective into this.

Yup, the only reason Gold is currently hot is because everything else has been running cool.  But as the economy continues to recover, gold and other "hard" commodities will cool off.

Iceman, Troy, with Respect, you guys dont know what you're talking about.

Gold is rising WITH the stock market, for the same reason. Mo' money, mo' money' mo' money being created by the Fed.

Gold is hardly moving in respect to Euros and other currencies.  It's skyrocketing in regards to dollars.

Dollars cannot find a decent return in savings (low interest rates) so they're being forced into stocks and now gold.

Not true.  There is some evidence that the market price for gold has been artifically suppressed for a long time.  There is an ongoing lawsuit (Blanchard vs. Barrick) that alleges just such an action has occurred.  The return on gold has been very good since late 1999.  From $250 to $410 an ounce in 3 years is not a bad rate of return.  Platinum has gone from $350 to over $800 an ounce in the same period.

Well, I just stayed with the big guys for now. Put a little more into Medtronics (MDT) and Pfizer (PFE). I also put some just for the hell of it into Park Place Ent. (PPE)...cause I want to try a local casino stock. All of my stocks are long termers, I'm not even thinking of pulling any out until I retire...if I ever get to that is. I looked at that company you IM'd me but my broker won't let me buy it because it's a foriegn stock...oh well, I wanted to try it.

Wolfpack, I bought that stock I told you about "Crucell(crxl)" through Ameritrade with no problem. It's on the NASDAQ-NM
It's gone up from $5.70-$6.20 since I told you about it on Sunday. I bought into this stock on Nov 25th at $4.28 a share. Tell your broker it's on the nasdaq "national market" board.
