That post of TK’s “American Soldier” video got me thinking…

These are the lyrics to a country song on an old army recruiting video (late 90s).  Anyone remember this or who sang it?  I kind of ad-libbed the 3rd paragraph from memory.  It was on TV a lot as well.  Not sure if it was a real song or just for the advertisement.  It was on the “welcome to the army” video you get when you sign up.  This song got me to join the army.  Just wondering where I could find it.

I’m from a town where things are as good as they come;
And its picture in my mind is just a clear as the mid-day sun.

Now I’m out here in the darkness;
And the rain is coming down.
Never was like this, in my home town.

My home town is not like this
But that’s alright with me.
See, I’m out here for my home town;
Cause freedom isn’t free.

We walk through the woods,
We fight through the rain,
We fly through the skies up above.
To make this world a better place,
For the ones we love.

And freedom, oh freedom,
I’d gladly pay the price.
Cause you can’t have your freedom,
Without sacrifice.

My home town is not like this
But that’s alright with me.
See, I’m out here for my home town;
Cause freedom isn’t free.

Don't remember it. When I went in it was "We do more before 9am" I realised how true it was.

I remember it but I don't know who sings it.

Did that help? [;D]
