I saw in a gun rag that Armalite is coming back out with a original model.Called the AR-10B {this is .308,do not know if the plan on a .223 model or not.}

The early AR10's used waffle mags, garand shooter. Sigman, the 10B is already in production and I don't believe they are planning the same thing with the .223/5.56 rifle.

The AR15 Armalites were 25 like above.
Early Colts AR15 were steel "waffle" 20, later ones alloy 20. |

That rifle in the picture has a sling swivel on the pistol grip. cool!

Yep, sling swivel on pistol grip.

I have seen them, and held a couple, also. As well as the first (serial no. 000000) Colt M16. They are owned by Reed Knight, of Knight's Armament Company.

There are several AR10 and AR15 proto's on display at the Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Ground.
