At the first hint of 'trouble' Peter Jennings should be hightailing it back to Canada as fast as his luxury automobile with hired driver can carry him. With his Canadian passport tucked in his pocket.

It was Soviet premiere Khrushev who said that the Soviet Union would take the United States without firing a shot in the early 60's.
One of the best ways to do this is through the use of a propoganda campaign which causes a country to turn against itself - from the inside. It wasn't long after he said these words that thanks to media coverage of the war in Vietnam, Americans began to be divided about our involvement there and again the media was there to fuel these differences and spark world wide coverage of protests in America's streets and on college campuses - another incubator of "free thought". Soon Americans were deeply divided and military and political leaders were nervous about the growing unrest. And who did this all benefit? The communist Soviet Union! We all know the outcome of that media campaign... Now there are forces that would like to see America fold under pressure to disarm so that they are no longer the most powerful nation on earth. And how are they accomplishing their campaign to take away the rights of Americans? You guessed it - the liberal "free thinking" news media and their spokespeople. Folks - this is not hard to figure out. We just don't want to admit that we have been duped. There is still time to stop the advance of Socialism but it may cost some of us our lives instead of time and money.... [sniper] [b]The Sniper |

Of course, I wouldn't want CNN headquarters turned to dust on a day that Lynn Russell was working. But we all know its the media that spreads the lies. They are the ones that threaten our freedom. If anyone needs to be "educated" its them.
