CNN is running the bio or tim McVeigh, and his connection with guns and gun magazines (the ones you read).

He was a "gun fanatic", because he liked to read about guns.  Well, it looks like we are all potential building-blasters in CNN's eyes.

From Page 14 of the Affidavit by 'Special Agent' Davy Aguilera of the ATF in connection with Application for Search Warrant (Feb 25, 1993) for residence of Vernon Wayne Howell -

Mr. [David] Block stated that he observed at the compound published magazines such as, the "Shotgun News" and other related clandestine magazines. He heard extensive talk of the "Anarchist Cook Book."

So what you read CAN wind up in a search warrant in America today.

And Thomas Jefferson once said that there was no such thing as a dangerous idea! What a fool, he must have been!

{Wonder what Shotgun News thought about being referred to as a 'clandestine magazine'?)

Boys and Girls.... this type of categorization will only continue to get worse as our society fails to recognize it's own shortcomings and the true source of the problems plaguing America.

We desparately search for a cause and effect and we find it much easier to lay the blame on something on the outside instead of looking on the inside where the root of the problem begins.

A very wise friend once said "A thought unspoken - dies unborn".

It is a persons inability to properly regulate their emotions and convictions that cause them to act out some of the horrible things that they do.

It is a lack of proper respect for the sanctity of life that allows a Timothy McVeigh to cross the line and kill innocent people because he has convinced himself that it is the only solution.

We would rather take away everyone else's freedoms and even their lives before we woudl admit to the moral deficit that exists in our own lives.

And so.... on and on it goes.....

Not trying to sound like a smart-ass or anything, but that was great... like Jerry's final notes, or words or whatever the hell it is.

The classic "criminals have guns, therefore people that own guns are criminals."  So what else is new.

But what they're saying is true, isn't it?  He WAS into guns.  He had loaded guns in every room of his house.  He joined the Army just to get his hands on weapons.

I don't condone what McViegh has done, but "joining the Army/police" to shoot guns, is what the anti-gun crowd has advocated, so now the media is now crucifying him for that.

If they really want to blame someone that contributed to mcveigh's actions, it should be HCI/VPC and all of the other gun control groups. He specifically stated that he put the bomb in front of the murrah building because of the "assault weapon" ban and brady bill. And what caused the events at Waco? GUN CONTROL and the hysterical anti-gun environment created by HCI and the very media trying to blame groups such as the NRA.
