Two models planned, p/u truck and 5 door.

Step inside!

3.5 Liter, 5 cylinder, turbo-charged, 350 DIN HP

There will be light!

Driven by a 4speed automatic transmission. Should the need arise, the frontwheels kick in automatically.

Every other message board has the fucking image tags as clickable buttons, goddammit! Why do I have to type 11 characters when I only have to click two buttons elsewhere? It's really not difficult to program.

4.44 meters long, 1.89 meters wide and 1.80 meters tall: it's the (metric) Baby Hummer!

Shiny buttons!

Mean Eyes!

Cool! Just like a €500.- Citroën!

Looks deserted.

Nice: Leather seats developed by Nike. With Anti-Athlete's Ass treatment.

Should be popular with steroid-gobbling weightlifter types, and other "image conscious" market segments.

Does it have a price tag?

Oh and just for the record there was a Plumbing company here that is using an H2 as a service vehicle. Any company that uses one as a service vehicle and pulls up in front of my house is not walking through my front door... "How much would they charge?" if they are driving THAT!!

That is the best looking truck Ive ever sawd! Getting 350 HP from a 5 cylinder is pretty impressive too! Hats off to GM or whoever.

Ugly mofo.

And what the hell is up with these goddamned huge buttoned/knobbed silver panels.  To me it's distracting as hell and ugly as sin.  Looks like some cheap 60's hi-fi shit that got built in the Fisher-Price factory.

Panels should be a neutral color (or black) with clearly marked displays, knobs and switches, not something that looks like "My First Car™".

I guess the old fart/pilot in me is showing.

The body reminds me of a  mid 90's Jeep Comanche.  I still think they need to put a diesel in it.

Automatic Transmission?
It is a sin for trucks to be built with automatic transmissions.
Stupid gimmick, scaled down.
I want a real HMMWV.
(Just looked it up.  The Real HMMWV has an automatic transmission.  Crap!)

350 hp from a 5 cyl. deisel? That's pretty good, and about 25 hp more than my 7k lb. power stroke v8 td was rated from the factory.
Now, if they would price them between say 18-25k dollars, I'd consider one.[;D]

"The next 'evolution' of military equipment.... looks like a normal truck... but when needed, it transforms into a leathal machine to fight..."

LOL

I think they would sell it for around 35K MSRP, should be able to get one for under 29K. : P

Yes, GM.  It's based on the Chevy TrailBlazer chassis, just like the H2 is based on the Chevy Tahoe/1500 chassis.
Looks neat, but I wouldn't want one.

Keep in mind that chances are the production vehicle will have much smaller tires.

When the Tundra concept came out I thought AWESOME... cause it had 33" tires, then the production came out and it was just so-so.

The H2 has 34.5" tires, I would expect the H3 to have maybe 33".

That concept looks like it has tires bigger than the H1.

McMan, with all due respect, the H2 is Not based on the tahoe chassis. In fact, it is a 3 piece fully welded ladder type frame mostly hydroformed.

Some chassis parts are shared with the 2500 HD series and quite a few 1500 series but most of these have been heavily modified. The H2's center frame, etc. are all unique to the H2.

and the H3 is def. not a trailblazer chassis.

Please check your facts..

Neener, Neener, Neener!!!

I drive valet and have driven nearly EVERY car made from 1980 to present in the last two months.

My two personal favorites are:
#1.)  Mercedes Kompressor Convertible - NOTHING beats its combination of performance, features, and luxury for its price range.  PERIOD.  In several ways superior to the Ferrari as well.
#2.)  New 2004 Honda S2000 - For aforementioned reasons, but not quite as comfortable.  A close second to the Kompressor Convertible.

For all that stated the civilian Hummers (H1 & H2) suck, YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY CORRECT.  There are three trucks on the market that beat the Hummer hands-down.

Where did I say "Diesel"? That's a regular, gasoline-powered engine.

Sad.

The Humvee has become a plasticated space mobile, better suited to Beverly Hills than to off road use, never mind military application.
