looking for a way to download movies other than kazaa lite.. hard to find some, slow downloads and then most are horrible or just dont play.
anyone got some suggestions? please, no flame, I beg

download and install mIRC (Chat client)
go to www.packetnews.com read up on xdcc downloads search for the movie and download it that's all the instruction you get |

took me a while.. but I figgered it out (for the most part)
search didnt turn up some of the things I was looking for [edited] the only thing I have going is rolling along at 30Kb/s I would have guessed most would be faster..? but again.. this is my only one so far |

My children just downloaded a virus Backdoor.Sdbot thru MIRC on the computer, and it is kinda of a pain in the @$$ to get rid of because to thourghly get rid of it you have to edit the registery and you can only delete the offending EXE file in "safe mode." It came thru channel 6667. We are running the very latest version of Norton's but it seemed to have got pass it. |
