Hey military folks... On the outside of a case of MRE's (looking on ebay) I see the boxes are marked with a test/inspection date.  What does that date indicate?  Is that a date that's 4,5,etc years from the date of manufacture?  How are folks able to sell that stuff on ebay?  I would think that the gvt would use it in operations or keep it in storage, how does it get out there?
