There's about twenty or more threads running on the Saddam Husain capture and quite frankly I'm worried.

Between the good news in the economy with the job numbers, the revision of the recession back another quarter into Clinton's term, and now this so close to Christmas it's got me thinking. You know that sucide numbers go up greatly and that a gun in the home is 1.3 million times more likely to kill it's owner than vote Democratic. These guys need some intervention - a leader to bring them back to the fold - HILLARY WHERE ARE YOU WHEN THEY NEED YOU!!!!!

does how does this help someone facing a bleak Christmas because they lost their job? How does this help someone with an illness who just lost their insurance coverage? How does this help someone who's underemployed, working several jobs and struggling to pay the mortgage?
It just don't make me any money.

This person whines about not having enough money but would applaud a tax increase.

The Neutral Observer is sure the bloody idiot was speaking of/"for" others, at least as far as working multiple jobs and actually having "stuff" goes, in that post.  They more than likely do not work.  Why should they care about taxes?

Socialism is a popular philosophy of the lazy.  In the short term, it means they can justify sitting around and not doing shit because they are fighting the "man".  Long-term, it means they can suckle the government teat with great ease and convienience.

Let the bastards kill themselves.  Hopefully, some have not spawned yet.

How can you have "several jobs" and be "under employed"?

My 19 year old sister is an admitted socialist.  My father has to pay everything for her, most of her rent, her parking & speeding tickets, etc.  She just quit her job and moved back home for a month, leaving an empty $600/mo apartment back in St. Augustine, where she goes to college.

Are you serious? [rofl2]

The fact is that the bloom is off the rose. I've heard this site being bashed all over talk radio, even on substitute programs the local stations shoehorn in during the weekends when the game is cancelled or the usual guy is out sick.

EVERYONE is saying how completely out-of-touch-with-reality that site is, even those who claim to be democrats.

Let them whine. The more people see THAT as "normal" democrat philosophy, the better.

Well, there's one less madman at large who wants you and hundreds of thousands of your countrymen killed en masse.

But I understand how that PALES in comparison to you buying a Christmas gift, or having health insurance.

From "their" home page.

The capture of Saddam Hussein

The dramatic news of Saddam Hussein's capture provides a faint glimmer of hope that peace and security may someday be possible in a country that has seen little of either.

After decades of oppression, war, and deprivation, the long-suffering people of Iraq will finally see their brutal dictator brought to justice. For their sake, and for the sake of American servicepeople in Iraq, we hope that Saddam's capture will hasten the end of hostilities in that country. While the chance of a democratic government in Iraq still seems remote, perhaps this news will help make it possible.

We opposed the invasion of Iraq, which did nothing to improve the security of the American people, and caused incalculable damage to our reputation abroad. The capture of Saddam does not make an unwise war wise, it does not make an illegal war legal, and it does not make an utter failure of American foreign policy into a success.

The current Administration has botched nearly everything it's touched these last three years. Saddam's capture provides them with a fresh opportunity to get our foreign policy back on track. Let's hope they don't botch this too.

Actually the stock market started heading
south the last quarter of 2000, an indicator that a downturn in the economy was already there.
The link I tried to post didn't work, but go to Quicken.com or any other stock market page and pull up a 5 year chart to see what I mean.

I think you just hit on something:  For some time now, I've been trying to illustrate just how CRAZY these DU'ers are; how filled with hatred they are...and how, NOTHING is as important as removing this president from office.  They are so consumed by their feelings that they are now eating their own.  Lately, there has been a vicious & bloody online battle over there between the backers of the various nine dwarfs.  Now I read this thread posted by this woman, a self-proclaimed "peace activist" where she writes her family and tells them that all Republicans are her "enemies" and if they, her family are Republicans, then they are her enemies as well...and basically they can just go fuck themselves!

My brother is a socialist...my sister in law is not far behind...and I am about as conservative as a person can be...but we get along.  They both fear and hate guns...and I always make a point to walk through the house toting one of my evil, black military style "assault rifles" or military shotguns, whenever they visit, just to piss them off.  We argue but we don't consider ourselves to be enemies!  This person is sick and needs help.  She is wrapped way too tight.

These folks are going to need some serious help next November as the election results begin rolling in and Bush wins in a landslide.

The worst part is, these crazy DU'ers actually reflect a large portion of the Democratic Party members now!

If I were the Canadian, Brit or Australian government, I'd plan on a small influx of American Lefty-Looney immigrants in November-December 2004.  Hey...maybe they could go to France?  [;D]

Everybody's talking about Martial Law.

Could these people legally do that just before an election? Especially if no major disaster like 9/11 or worse happens just before the elections?

Conspiracy theories abound here now. THis and Diebold. Diebold is truly a serious threat though.

What do you think the people would do if there was this kind of subversion?
