Amazing video. Those ejection seats are the cat's ass!

A guy on another board said that the AF ruled it pilot error, that he could have made it but misjudged his altitude.

I'll bet he didn't even have time to finish the obligitory "OH SH..." before he got out.

From that altitude that had to hurt a bit, I wonder how much he shrunk?

My dad's got an awesome set of tools, we can fix it.

Earning the title "lawn dart" one jet at a time.

Thank god for ejection seats. As long as the pilot lives we can all make light of it.

Is this old or relatively recent?

I did a search and it appears to be a few months old.

What did he have to hit to eject?  I'm aware of the systems that have the loops by the pilot's helmet that they have to pull down, but he obviously didn't do that.

Everything you'd want to know about the ACES II seat.

In the F16's ACESII seat, the handle is between your legs.  It gets you to pull both arms into a central location and hang on tight too.  I'd hate to have to ever use one but it'd be a hell of a ride.

... Cool videos. I have quite a few like those I save, unfortunately I can't publish them on public forums.

On the audio on the exterior tape, I hear what I believe to be a stall horn at :20.  Any Falcon drivers here who can shed some light on this?  Not enough delta V?
