Can anybody link to the Calvin in an F15 vs his school strip?  That one was my favorite!

Yeah Calvin and Hobbes rocks.

I recently started reading them again and every strip makes me laugh out loud.

The kid is hilarious.

Calvin grew up to be... me!

If I ever meet Bill Waterson, I'll shake his hand... then punch him in the gut for retiring.

Ditto for Gary Larson.

I don't think Gary Larson retired, I think he got picked up by the men in the white coats.  [bounce]

Calvin lives at my house.  His new name is James.  I just got back from a parent teacher conference because my six year old took his gun show samurai sword letter opener for show and tell.  It's only about three inches long but it was apparently enough to terrorize a whole classroom of six year olds.  She wouldn't send it home with him, I had to come pick it up.  She got kind of pissed when I started laughing at her when she got all serious about the "possible threat" it posed.  man it's gonna be a long year.

I guess it's good he didn't get to the linked .50 BMG rounds he got there too.

Crash.

Recent article about Bill Wattersons' retirement:

He doesn't do interviews, doesn't get his fan mail.  I was sad to see C+H end, but it's a better fate than dragging it on forever a la Peanuts.

I like the one where . . . well, I like 'em all, but a good one is the one where Calvin asks his dad, "Dad, are you vicariously living through me in the hopes that my accomplishments will bring meaning to your life?"
His dad says, "If I am, you can bet I'll be re-evaluating my strategy."
Then Calvin says to his mom, "Mom, dad keeps insulting me."
