A friend with a nice digital camera is visiting from PRK and a lightbulb went off in the ole noggin. I've been admiring everybody elses rifles for so long, I wanted to get in on the fun. Couldn't have built her without all the great advice I got from reading the posts on this site. Thanks guys.

It's so purdy!  What optics do you have on it.  I'm going to need something for the LEGP rifle when it gets here.

A) Nice scope- what is it?

B) re your handle, Hoople: is it from Major Hoople or Mott the Hoople?

HAK-KAFF! :^)

Q-Man and 95thFoot: It's your basic night vision setup- an ITT 6015NE mounted on a GG&G QD mount. The iron back up sights are GG&G's A-2 version. The Aimpoint is mounted on a GG&G cantilever mount (yeah I guess I like GG&G's stuff). The rifle itself is a Colt 6550 Gov't Model lower, an M4 upper with a Phantom FS on a 14.5" barrel. The whole rifle was then bearcoated by RMA out in Colorado.
95thFoot: Mott definitely
Sportsman's Supply: Now that sounds like fun! Sure beats talking the guy at the indoor rifle range into turning off the lights so I can practice which is what I do now. Obviously I have to go at off times, so no one else is using the range, which is a real PIA.
SilverSurfer: Huh,if you are looking to see my wife in any pics here you can forget about it. Her comment to me and my friend while taking the above pics was " there's something wrong with you guys" She's pro gun and loves shooting my AR,but thinks having a Photopoint acct. and only gun pics rather then pics of our kids is strange. It's not is it?

Does the optic in the rear obstruct the charging handle?  It kinda looks like its in the way, but I've never  used an AR with optics b4.  BTW, that's a pretty sweet M4 set up!

slt223- Yeah my knuckles do bang the NVD when using the charging handle. To be honest I'm not entirely happy with the GG&G mount, it's not sturdy enogh for me. I've been looking at the mounts Ryan from BlueLineGear is selling. They enable the user to raise and lower the scope height as needed, but the problem is #1 they're not QD and #2 do I really want to be screwing around raising and lowering the NVD in the dark in a bad situation?

Sweet setup.  Ya think you can come up anything else to add to the value of that rascal?  Nice chunk of change into an AR, no doubt.  Enjoy!
