Story

An employee of a Bucks County tire store -- and a co-worker who police say was his assailant -- are both hospitalized following a shooting Friday morning at the store.
Gunshots rang out inside the Firestone tire store (right), at Street and Hulmeville Roads in Bensalem, around 10:15am.

Police say one employee shot another several times in the chest.

Steven Moran, director of public safety for the Bensalem Township Police Department, says the victim knew his attacker:

"This was not a robbery attempt. It appears at this time it's a workplace violence incident."

Moran says the gunman took off in a red truck, leading police on a two-mile chase on busy roads:

"The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, being operated recklessly, and the officer made a decision to end the pursuit by contacting the defendant's vehicle, at which time the defendant lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree."

The suspect was injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital.
Moran says the suspect's gun has been recovered.

Ouch.
