I have a question for you married men out there.
Do you wear your wedding ring? If yes, why? If no, why?

Well, I'm not married.....

but my good friend is, and does not wear his ring while at work, simply because the risks involved with having a metal ring on while working around furnaces...(by furnaces, I mean metal melting furnaces, not the HVAC kind)

I wear mine all the time. I really shouldnt wear it at work though. A guy de-gloved his finger last year when he fell off a wing and tried to grab for it to catch himself. He caught his ring on a rivet that wasnt all the way in and ripped the skin clean off.

He should have just kept his hands to himself cause he was wearing a harness......

Rob

P.S. Sorry for the small hijack, hope I helped....

Every minute of every day.

It's a symbol of a vow I made.

Yes I do, but not at work.  Too much chance of the afore mentioned "De-Gloved" finger.

Yes I wear mine everyday.  I rarely take it off.

I am not sure why, exactly.  It just seems like the thing to do.  YMMV

I wear it all the time every day.  My wedding vows are in effect 24/7, and the ring is a good reminder of them.  I'd probably feel naked without it.

The only time I take mine off is when I am at work (due to the formentioned aircraft de-gloving thing).  Other than that I have it on to show the love and devotion to my wife (that and because I have lost 2 already and she said that she would cut off Mr. Happy if I lost this one [:X*])

I've been married near 22 years and never had one.
I just don't care for jewelry.

No rings or watches

We went out and got the heaviest, thickest, ring we could find and I have not taken it off since. It has been on my finger for 4 years, 6 months, 3 days, 15 hours, and 49 minutes.

It is a commitment thing.

I am not married, but when I am I will probably wear a ring any time my hands arent in danger of getting injured.

I want a titanium ring!

No I don't wear mine. I don't like jewelry. Wifey has no problem with it.

I never wear my wedding ring, I work in steel fabrication. It is too easy to get that ring cought on a piece of material even with gloves on.

So I can say I like to de-glove myself, not be de-gloved by a ring, My Wife understands this and is ok with it but at first it did bother her.

I wear mine every day.  I just wouldn't feel right taking it off.  Another plus is that our wedding date is engraved on the inside and I can always take it off to see when I need to buy an anniversary gift.  No excuses to forget with that.

I wear mine 24/7.  It’s titanium with a “comfort” bevel and a dull brushed finish.  It weighs nothing and is very un-obtrusive.  I do consider the risk of finger injury, but I have never felt the need to take it off yet.

It's the only ring I wear.  I do take it off when I go to bed at night, and when I'm lifting free-weights at the gym, but it's otherwise on the finger.  Why?  I guess it's due to the vow I took before God and a couple hundred witnesses.

Nope. I work in electrical panels and around moving equipment. I don't even wear a watch.

I dont wear one or own one.
My wife doesnt mind or so she says. I told her I would get a tattoo on that finger that said "I LOVE SHARON" she said no. I am not kidding, if she was the slightest bit put off by me not wearing one I would do it in a minute.
I dont see the need, I dont like or wear any type of jewerly or watch.
I have always worked around finger removal stuff so part of it is safety. The other part is trust She trusts me I know women who make sure there property is marked she is not one.

Rings are forbidden at work due to reasons listed above.  I got tired of putting mine in my pocket everyday at work that I no longer wear it.  I was afraid of losing it.

niether of us do. Mona is allergic to most jewelry and i can't wear mine at work. It's just a ring. The commitment is in the heart not the trinket.

Don't wear mine because I worked servicing computer equipment. Later on when I became a manager I still didn't wear it. Don't really care for jewelry. The Wife is ok with that. We have been together for 25yrs. BobK

I don't wear mine; I had it cut off once and I figured that should be a clue.

I wear no jewelry, though; dangerous.

I bought one and wore it for the wedding, but never since.  Why?

My fingers are very short and they're webbed.  If I put a ring on, it will immediately start cutting into the webbing and I start to bleed.  Seriously.

My wife understands this, and I put it on for our anniversary.
